My philosophy for learning music is simple: music as personal growth. Watching my students grow as people through the practice of their instrument is is the best part about teaching. In my experience, I have seen benefits to students in discipline, self-expression, teamwork, confidence, coordination, problem-solving, creativity - the list goes on.
A good musician has both the expressive intuition to envision a beautiful, meaningful performance and the technical mastery to bring it to life with clarity and intention. My classes are designed to develop these attributes in the student so they can take the lessons learned in class both to the stage and to their everyday lives.
